Each three minute boxing round contains everything a fighter would do to train for a fight except for actually fight. Our contact free workout is suitable for all ages and all experience levels. The 15 Rounds® format consists of three warm up rounds, eight rounds of boxing, three rounds of core work, and a cool down stretch. This trainer led 1 hour class starts with 3 rounds of warm up, 8 rounds of bag work, 3 rounds of core work and ends with 1 round of cool down. Each round is 3 minutes with 1 minute rest in between rounds.
Our 30 Min Knockdown class is an intense, fast paced workout. A half an hour in length, it consists of 8 rounds of cardio boxing, with no warm up or core rounds. Preceded by a two minute stretch, each round is 3 minutes in length, and there is a 30 second rest in between each. It will be optional if you choose to take your rest, or work through it. Everybody moves at their own pace, so we encourage you to try a 30 Minute Knockdown! It’s a quick way to get in and out, all while having fun and burning a couple hundred calories!
The Fit 4 Warrior class is the perfect 1 hour class with boxing and strength training. Class starts with 8 rounds of boxing with a 30 second recovery between rounds. Class is then transformed into a strength class. Each class has a different muscle focus. The strength portion is filled with 30 minutes of bodyweight, dumbbells, mini-bands, resistance bands and medicine balls giving our members an intense workout with a high caloric burn.
Our Fit 4 Life senior class is for ages 60+. You’re never too old to learn how to box! This is an hour long trainer led boxing workout which consists of several different low impact exercises. Everything we do is modifiable, and everything is work at your own pace. The class is interactive, engaging, and effective, and our trainers are here for your support.
Our kid’s class is for children ages 8-12. We teach all the basics of boxing including stance, fundamental movement, punches, footwork and defensive moves. The one hour class is designed to be fun and also a great workout for the kids. It is a good team building experience as well, as we do different partner and team drills. We often finish up with a game at the end of class.
Our virtual class is a new, at home 15 Round virtual fitness boxing workout! Members can participate in all the exercises that we follow in our standard 15 Rounds workout without any equipment at all! There is no requirement for you to have a camera. However, you can easily toggle your camera on or off if you choose to do so. For members with a heavy bag at home, you can use your hand wraps and gloves and complete the class on your own bag. If you do not have a bag, you can shadow box using light dumbbells, or with no weights at all. A good pair of athletic shoes is recommended. Jump on in and let's get ready to go - Virtually!
Rock Steady Boxing is an emotional and rigorous exercise program designed to help those living with Parkinson's Disease. Here at Fit 4 Boxing Club, we are known as Rock Steady Pittsburgh, where we specialize in creating a strongly bonded family type of atmosphere. There is a camaraderie here that you won't find anywhere else. As the first Rock Steady Boxing gym in Pittsburgh, and the second in the state of Pennsylvania, we have several hundred members that have been evaluated and joined our Rock Steady group.
